Night to Shine is an idea brought to life by then President/CEO Gene Bowen in 1993. It’s a high school “variety show” giving students a chance to show their stuff ! DECA students from Helena and Capital High begin working on the show in early November (weekly 6 AM meetings with projects from radio and television to print and public relations ) – performers come from as far away as Townsend and Boulder as well as high schools in the Helena area –a group of judges from the community sit through two long nights of auditions before culminating in a selection of 20 acts, providing a great “variety” show for the community

The first show had about 400 in attendance at the Helena Civic Center and has grown to “sold out” performances of about 2,000 in attendance – what a wonderful venue for students to show parents, grandparents and the community the talents they have.

Helena Community Credit Union takes great pride in being the sole sponsor for this program – the credit union provides a budget for the show, some guidelines and a director - the DECA students do the rest – the proceeds from the show go to the DECA students for scholarships and competitions.
